Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU), in partnership with the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), hosted a landmark hybrid conference titled “Strengthening IACBE Presence & Impact through Strategic International Accreditation & AI Integration in Asia” on 4 December 2025, at Le Monet, San Lorenzo Hall, OLFU Valenzuela City Campus.
The event brought together academic leaders, accreditation authorities, and industry practitioners to examine the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) and outcomes-based accreditation in higher education.
Anchored by IACBE, the conference served as a platform for in-depth discussions on quality assurance, global recognition, and technology-driven transformation in learning environments. Central to the discourse was how international accreditation standards and responsible AI integration can enhance institutional effectiveness and prepare higher education institutions for emerging global demands.
Distinguished speakers from IACBE led the academic discussions, including Dr. VJ Reddy, Vice-Chairman of the IACBE Executive Committee, who delivered a keynote on the opportunities and challenges of AI in practice-based education. Dr. Emmett P. Tracy, IACBE President, discussed international accreditation within the context of global higher education, while Dr. Archish Maharaja, Chair of the IACBE Executive Committee, presented on outcomes-based accreditation through IACBE standards. Dr. Laurie Yates, IACBE Director of Accreditation, provided insights into IACBE membership and activities, and Dr. Ignacio C. Cordova Jr., IACBE Board Director for Region 10 (Asia), facilitated the fireside chat.
An industry perspective was presented by Amrei Dizon, Founder of Vitalstrats Creative Solutions and Founding Executive Committee member of PAIIBA, who discussed AI-enabled learning systems and their implications for educational practice. Through keynote addresses, expert panels, and interactive discussions, participants explored ethical and effective AI integration in practice-based learning, continuous improvement in accreditation processes, institutional quality enhancement through IACBE standards, and the role of AI in personalization, engagement, and long-term learner achievement.
The conference reinforced OLFU’s commitment to upholding global standards, advancing responsible AI integration, and sustaining continuous quality enhancement, underscoring its role in promoting innovative and future-ready approaches to business and higher education.
