The Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) – College of Pharmacy (CoP) received a Recognition of Excellence from Southstar Drug (SSD) for its commitment and dedication in shaping the future of pharmacy in the country during the SSD Pharmacists Summit at Club Balai Isabel in Batangas on 21 October 2023.
OLFU, with its exemplary standards in education and unwavering partnership with SSD, has been instrumental in fostering excellence and paving the way for the next generation of pharmacists.
The OLFU-CoP is the second largest contributor in the pharmacy workforce of Southstar Drug. This has been brought about by the partnership of the college since 2017 with the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, the CSR arm of Robinsons Retail Holdings for scholarship.
Robina Gokongwei-Pe, CEO of Robinsons Retail Holdings; Stanley Co, COO of Robinsons Retail Holdings; Thadeus Sanchez, Deputy General Manager of SSD; and Mariel Crisostomo, General Manager of SSD, handed the recognition to OLFU represented by Anbel Bautista, Assistant Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
The accolade was also complemented with three more OLFU alumni who were recognized as STAR Pharmacists for their service and contribution to the growth of SSD.
OLFU’s Claire Doluor Mendoza and Princess Marilor Meneses have been promoted as store heads while Kevin Nuyda has been elevated as Area Operations Supervisor.
