Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) recognized the very first Gawad Dr. Vicente M. Santos awardees during the awarding ceremony held last January 23, 2015 at the AMS Auditorium of Valenzuela City Campus. Out of the 45 nominees, 10 awardees were proclaimed in three different categories, i.e., Academic Management, Faculty and Non-Teaching.
The first batch of awardees are the following:Academic Management Category:

2. Dr. Ana Liza P. Ocampo, Over-all Head, Center for Guidance Services
Faculty Category
1. Dr. Jose Arnel G. Manalili, College of Medicine
2. Mr. Marvin L. Aquino, College of Arts and Sciences
3. Mr. Jomar T. Parel, College of Hospitality and Institutional Management
4. Mr. Cledante O. Navalta, College of Arts and Sciences
5. Ms. Magelyn M. Manrique, College of Arts and Sciences
Non-Teaching Category
1. Ms. Marle P. Pagdaganan, Housekeeping Supervisor
2. Mr. Diosdado M. Salazar, Senior Housekeeping Staff
The event started with a concelebrated mass officiated by Msgr. Bartolome Santos, Parish Priest of the National Shrine of the Our Lady of Fatima and Fr. AngelitoCaliwag, University Chaplain. Members of the Board of Trustees who witnessed the awarding ceremony were Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez, University President, Mr. Don August O. Santos, EVP and Chief Finance Officer, Dr. Mylene S. Abad Santos, VP for Student Affairs, Mr. Robert Bjorn O. Santos, Corporate Secretary, Dr. Vicente O. Santos, Jr., FUMC President and Mr. Enrico John O. Santos, VP for Administrative Services. College Deans, Department Heads, Program Heads, faculty members and family members of the nominees from the four OLFU Campuses were also present during the event.
The Gawad Vicente M. Santos was launched by OLFU to acknowledge the legacy of Dr. Vicente M. Santos, one of the University Founders and also to give honor to employees who by their exemplary work and commitment have contributed to the success of the University. This is a biennial recognition and the next batch of awardees will be recognized in 2017.
