The College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) sustained its academic brilliance after delivering remarkable results in the Medical Technologists Licensure Examination (MTLE) conducted in March 2026.

In the official results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 11 March 2026, three OLFU campuses secured top rankings among the country’s best-performing institutions in the national board examination for medical technologists.

Leading the list is the OLFU Quezon City Campus, which earned the distinction of the Top 1 Performing School nationwide after achieving a stunning 100 percent passing rate.

Complementing this achievement, the OLFU Laguna likewise delivered an outstanding performance, ranking Top 6 Performing School with a 98.91 percent passing rate, while OLFU Antipolo placed Top 7 Performing School with a 98.89 percent passing rate.

Taken together, the strong showing across campuses reflects the University’s consistent performance in licensure examinations. Collectively, all six OLFU campuses achieved a 94.66 percent overall passing rate, significantly higher than the 84.17 percent national passing rate recorded in the March 2026 licensure examination. First-time takers from the University also excelled, posting a 95.97 percent passing rate, surpassing the 89.12 percent national passing rate for first-time examinees.

Further elevating the University’s performance, two Fatimanian graduates placed among the topnotchers in the examination.

Joseph Davalos, RMT, a graduate from the Laguna Campus, ranked Top 5 nationwide with a score of 92.40 percent. Meanwhile, Clarc John Waje, RMT, a graduate of the Pampanga Campus, secured the Top 6 spot with a rating of 92.30 percent.

In total, the University celebrates 816 newly licensed medical technologists, marking another milestone for the institution’s growing roster of healthcare professionals.

The latest achievement further strengthens the reputation of OLFU’s CMLS as one of the country’s leading institutions in medical technology education. With the March 2026 results, the College has now earned the Top Performing School distinction seven times over four consecutive years since 2022.

This latest success also builds on the University’s strong showing in previous licensure examinations. In the August 2025 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination, the OLFU Quezon City likewise ranked among the country’s best-performing institutions, placing Top 4 Performing School after posting an impressive 96.36 percent passing rate.

These consistent outcomes highlight the University’s rigorous academic standards and its sustained commitment to developing competent and future-ready human resources in the healthcare industry.

As the new batch of passers prepares to join the ranks of licensed medical technologists, OLFU’s College of Medical Laboratory Science continues to affirm its role in shaping the next generation of laboratory scientists—strengthening the country’s healthcare workforce while reinforcing the University’s position as a leading academic institution in the field of medical technology.
