MEASURE DESCRIPTION AND HOW IT WAS CALCULATED
Employment Rate

The Employment Rate, identified as Key Performance Indicator (KPI #4) of the University, measures the extent to which graduates are able to obtain gainful employment within a specified period after graduation. This indicator reflects the effectiveness of academic programs in preparing graduates for employment and industry engagement.

      1. GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT RATE. The Graduate Employment Rate is calculated as the ratio of the total number of graduates who obtained gainful employment within two (2) years from graduation to the total number of graduates for the reference cohort.
For the March 2024–2025 Annual Strategic Planning Review, the reference cohort is Batch 2022 graduates. Employment data for this cohort was collected over a two-year tracking period, ending in December 2024. The consolidated results served as a key input for the Strategic Planning Presentation of the respective colleges and programs.
      2. ALUMNI EMPLOYMENT SURVEY. Graduate employment data were gathered through the Alumni 2022 Graduate Employment Survey, administered via a Google Form developed by the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) in coordination with the University Council for Quality Management (UCQM). The survey was distributed to each college or program, which then disseminated to their respective Batch 2022 graduates.
      3. DATA ACCESS. Access to raw survey data is restricted to the AAO and UCQM to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with institutional data governance protocols. These offices are responsible for data consolidation, validation, and analysis. Processed results and summary reports were officially transmitted to the respective colleges and programs.
The role of each college or program is limited to providing the official contact list of Batch 2022 graduates, including the full name and personal email address, to facilitate accurate survey distribution.
      4. SCORING. The following is the scoring of the employment rate: Give a score of 1 (if employed), and 0 (if unemployed)

Example A: Total graduates=100; 100 employed, 0 unemployed. ER=100/total Grads x 100=100%
Example B: Total graduates=100; 50 employed, 50 unemployed ER= 50/Total Grads x 100=50%
