Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) achieved significant milestones in higher education during the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation’s (PACUCOA) 51st Founding Anniversary and 35th General Assembly on December 10, 2024, at the Novotel Manila. The “Home of the Topnotchers” was honored with multiple prestigious accolades, marking a remarkable year of success and recognition for its campuses and programs.
Autonomous Status Granted to OLFU Campuses
A major highlight of the event was the recognition of several OLFU campuses with Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). OLFU Valenzuela was awarded its 4th consecutive recognition, underscoring its continued commitment to excellence. On the other hand, OLFU Quezon City earned its 2nd consecutive recognition, reflecting the University’s ongoing dedication to maintaining high academic standards. Meanwhile, OLFU Antipolo received its first-ever recognition, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward academic distinction. These recognitions collectively emphasize OLFU’s steadfast dedication to delivering quality education and operational excellence across all its campuses.
First-Ever Quality and Sustainability Seal
OLFU made history by becoming the first higher education institution (HEI) in the country to be awarded the Quality and Sustainability Seal by PACUCOA. This prestigious recognition was conferred upon OLFU’s Business Administration (BA), International Hospitality Management (IHM), and International Tourism Management (ITM) programs, affirming their outstanding quality and commitment to sustainability in education.

Maritime Programs Earn Level III Reaccredited Status
In another first for the University, OLFU’s BS in Marine Transportation and Marine Engineering programs were awarded Level III Reaccredited Status in the National Capital Region (NCR) by PACUCOA. This recognition underscores the excellence of OLFU’s maritime education, which plays a crucial role in preparing students for global careers in the maritime industry.
